Empathy & Adaptability - 'unbox' your people

Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of others, adaptability is the ability to adapt own behavior to the needs and expectations of others. Both for sure are key prerequisites for creating the culture of trust and ownership needed to develop an unbeatable competitive edge.

Empathy and adaptability have become indispensable traits in this diverse world. People have to learn to understand and adapt to a great variety of diversities: cultural diversity, behavior diversity, and gender diversity, to mention just a few.

Unfortunately many people are caught in a box. The tiny world inside their box becomes their scope and their truth. It pays to help your people unbox themselves and widen their scope, but first you will have to unbox yourself, which is the really difficult part.

Unboxed people will be better able to handle human diversity, demonstrate more empathy and adapt more easily. Human diversity is one of the main factors of success in the few very successful organizations we have served or researched.
